What are some tips for the Ukulele?

Hey there. I own a Makala ukulele and it's pretty good. Like any musician, sometimes they change the strum to suit them. It doesn't really matter how you strum it as long as it goes along in time with how you are singing it and the beat. Can't name all the major and minor chords sorry, I kind of just learnt by watching Youtube videos and googling the chords.
