i got my ukulele toay and i was wondering if there are any online Ukulele teaching site thing i could use. i know nothing about the uke!

Add informational and others such as history, civics, science, economics etc to be more diverse and yes, it can make you smarter. Just novels, no. Keeps your mind in fictional mode and not reality based thinking.

Everything i eat upsets my stomach, has anyone else had this problem? What was the solution?

I'm 18 and I've had stomach problems since I was about 11, but NEVER this severe. I had a upper and lower gi when I was 11 to see if I had ulcers, and nothing. They thought I was just allergic to dairy. But now, literally everything I eat makes me sick. Everything makes me poop immediately after I eat, and I get the WORST upper abdominal cramps & bloating. It hurt so bad last week for two days I was curled up in a ball & it was like I had no control over my stomach muscles...my stomach had caved in & i looked like a skeleton. It usually goes away after a few hours or when I go to sleep but I woke up feeling the same. I went to the dr two weeks ago & was tested for hp lori, an infection that attacks the intestines. It was negative but he put me on antiobiotcs just in case, I go back tomorrow and the meds didnt help at all! Ive heard anything from IBS, to something wrong with my gall bladder, to celiacs disease. Has anyone had a similar problem? It will take months to see a GI dr and I cant suffer any longer :(

I think there is a cycle that gets carried out over a period of time, but the eggs hatch and then something else happens and then the maggots appear. They have to have ideal conditions for this to occur, tike the right temperature and a source of food, I've read usually a starch. Hey there. I own a Makala ukulele and it's pretty good. Like any musician, sometimes they change the strum to suit them. It doesn't really matter how you strum it as long as it goes along in time with how you are singing it and the beat. I have no artisitic ability/creativity but I want to pursue Interior Design?

I was never really good at drawing nor was really good at being creative in group projects or really good at problem solving (especially in life or math wise). I guess I'm just the average joe. Frankly all these elements are needed to be a successful interior designer. Is this a good ukulele?

I just answered this for someone else but it applies to your question as well. Usually an ukulele for under $50 is more of an "art object" or tourist ploy" than an instrument that is meant to be played. The give-away usually is if you can't see the natural wood grain because it has been painted over (to hide the flaws). In general the smaller ukuleles are cheaper but they are also the "plinkiest" sounding and may be uncomfortable to hold and play (fingers get too cramped trying to hold more than a one-finger chord. If you really want to learn to love to play the ukulele look at a concert sized like the Lanikai or Kala ukulele. They will run closer to $100 but will be more of what you will keep and treasure as that "first ukulele".

Lose weight fast for cheer?

I'm a varsity flyer for my schools cheer team, and I was told I'm getting a little too big to be a flyer. I'm 4'11 and weigh 98 pounds which i know seems like not a lot but I do have a little weight I could lose without looking like a skeleton. While all four strings are in tune when played open, they are not at the 12th fret. The A string is bang on but the other 3 strings are too high. Why is this and what can I do to rectify the matter without risking damage to my uke?

While I was playing Minecraft, I discovered an underground cavern. Should people with myotonic dystrophy lift weights?

I was diagnosed with myotonic dystrophy when I was 24. At the time it didn't affect me too much apart from a little bit of weakness in my hands. Now I am 31 and I am beginning to notice the symptoms becoming a little bit worse. I actually work as a fitness instructor and have tried to find out information about the best exercise to do to prevent muscle wasting but it seems that most people who have this condition don't do anything! Some sources actually advised people NOT to lift weights. I have always believed that exercise done in the right way can help any medical condition so I thought that perhaps body building training might help? My doctors have been pretty useless on giving me advice, I don't think they know very much about it. I saw a specialist who told me to try it and see what happens. Not very helpful. Anybody out there got any information to help? I don't want to end up looking like a skeleton in a few years!

But to answer your question, You are correct about the Nage and Uke part. Ryu kata dori is a designated attack given to an Uke, in this case it means he must attack Nage with a two handed lapel or shoulder grab. Atemi is any distraction whether in the form of a strike or feint that makes the Uke flinch and lose his focus and unbalance him, thereby giving Nage the opportunity to apply a throw or lock/pin. As for the leg lock, it's not exclusively found in Aikido only, it's a technique common to most other arts from Jujutsu to Karate even Kung Fu, so you can't really attribute it as unique to Aikido only. You'd be better off using the technique called Irimi Nage as an example as this is not as common in other arts, but as stated you need a qualified instructor to show you how it's done properly and explain it's principles to you. It's not something you can explain over the internet. Much as I can appreciate your desire and intent to promote the principles of Aikido and it's techniques by writing a report about it, I think that task is best left to experienced practitioners of the art who more qualified to explain it better to lay persons. At most, you might mistakenly create a misconception about the art, since as you have admitted, you know next to nothing about it and may only end up creating more confusion about an already misunderstood art. But if you really are interested to write a report about Aikido, my suggestion is to read up about the life of it's founder Morehei Ueshiba O' Sensei and how he came to develop his art. I think that would make a much more interesting report instead of a written technical breakdown of individual Aikido techniques.

How to fly with an Ukulele?

All packed up and ready to go, but my original travel plans for my ukulele have changed! On Tuesday, my girlfriend and I are flying down to Key West, FL. to meet up with my cousin's band, Modern Bliss, to play at Sloppy Joes.
